Add Facebook Fan Page to your EzineArticles.com Profile

I have been following the blog post for EzineArticles.com for sometime now. The main reason is because they have great information to share with you no matter how many articles you submit to their directory. At this time I do not submit articles for myself but for others… So I feel this information can help everyone.

Did you know?

Within your profile page on EzineArticles.com you can add your Facebook Fan Page link.

Here are the steps from EzineArticles More Facebook Upgrades for Your Author Bio:

Adding Your Facebook Fan Page URL:

  1. Optimize your Facebook Fan Page so it’s unique, inviting and attractive
  2. Log in to your EzineArticles Member Account
  3. Click on the “Social Media” drop-down menu and select “Facebook”
  4. Copy and paste your Facebook Fan Page URL into the second text field (If you have a personal Facebook page, add it to the first field)

Our other Facebook-related upgrade allows members to “Like” your Expert Author Bio page. If a reader finds your bio interesting, they can click on the “Like” button. Now a link to your Expert Author Bio will appear on their Facebook page!

*NOTE: You have to have the extended Author Bio. If you do not have this you will need to upgrade. This membership is referred to as their Premium membership.

Happy Writing.

Social Marketing Schedule

One of my clients presented me with a social marketing schedule. I think it is a wonderful idea if you are planning on being involved within social media. So I wanted to take the opportunity to summary the ideas and share them with you…

Twitter

Check replies from current followers, review direct messages you received since you last checked, and respond to each one.

Search on http://followontwitterlists.com to find people that you want to follow and add them. Tweet at least twice daily and remember to try to do them live and not from TweetLater. **I do suggest tweeting with TweetLater (which is now SocialOomph – because you has time to remember to tweet when you are booked solid with conference calls, getting your next info-product done, etc.)

Find five things worth re-tweeting in your general feed and share with others.

Reply to your followers with a complete response not just a word or two word answer.

Want to automatically follow others back – you can use SocialToo.

Approach online business partners and retweet each other.

Facebook

Post a status message daily, something engaging and interesting.

Comment on other people’s status messages or updates.

Create a fan page to help promote a business, webinar, teleseminar or teleclass.

Is your profile picture current? If not, update it.

Check your wall for any comments that you should comment back on.

Add Facebook widgets to your Homepage.

If you belong to groups or fan pages, leave a comment or two.

Article Marketing

Add all completed articles into EzineArticles.com and save them as a draft. You can then go in every 2 days or so and submit the article so you have one posted about every 2 days.

Add your articles into SelfGrowth.com.

Submit your articles to GoArticles.com.

When writing your next article(s), remember to put your reader’s major benefit in the title of your article(s).

Looking for more directories? After you write the article you can then go to Google and search for more sites, “article submission”.

Write an article for a magazine or blog with your web address in the resource box.

Blogging

If you have a few extra minutes, read through some blogs – (from STACI: try to find some blogs that are in your niche and even direct competition with you) and read a post or two and comment back.

Visit your blog and review what comments have been left and respond.

Use OnlyWire.com to bookmark your blog posts.

Blog regularly and set up http://Ping.fm to distribute content to Facebook, Twitter, and other sites.

LinkedIn

Stay connected. Add any new relationships, business partners, etc.

Accept any invitations that make sense for you to accept.

Post in discussion and newsgroups in your industry.

For FREEBIES & MISC

Create downloadable PDFs with valuable content and active links back to your site – this can be a great avenue for Joint Ventures.

Use signature files on all emails with call to action.

Give testimonials to others about their services or products with your web address.

Create offline ads with your web address.

Optimize your site with SEO to get better search rankings.

Host a teleclass and send students to your site for information.

Have multiple websites that link to each other.

Create a viral offering such as a joke or flash movie with your website on YouTube.

Put your domain on all marketing materials.

Write a book and put your domain on the cover and inside the book.

Be a guest on a radio show and send people to your site.

Speak in public and give a useful handout with a link to your site.

Mention your web address every time you are talking about your business.

Is EzineArticles.com Your FAVORITE Article Directory?

?If not … it should be and here is why… they are making changes that you will LOVE! EzineArticles.com is becoming more user friendly and they have been reducing the amount of time from when you submit your article and when it goes live – just great news all around.

Read more below!

Articles Remain LIVE
While You Make Changes
EzineArticles.com Logo
Until today, any live article that was edited by you, was removed from live status. That has now changed. Moving forward, any article that is edited by you will remain live while it is being reviewed by our editors.

What This Means to You:

If you make a change to your article, a new version of this article will be sent to us (just as if it were a new article), and our editors will review it. During the editorial review process, your old version will remain LIVE and will still be working for you to drive traffic back to your site and build your credibility and exposure. Once the article review is complete, the newly accepted version of the article will replace the old version.

Your Member’s Area will also look a little different. When you make an edit to an article, you’ll notice a “subline” under your article title. This allows you to track the status of your edited articles as they run through our editorial review process. When your edits are approved, you’ll be notified, the subline will disappear, and your old article will be replaced with the new version.

Revisions Not Accepted:

So what happens if we do not accept the new edits you’ve made? Your old version will still remain live, but we’ll notify you that we have encountered a problem and need your help. We’ll alert you via email just like we do with first time submissions. You’ll then have 30 days to make changes to your edits and resubmit your article for another editorial review. If, after 30 days, you haven’t taken any action, that revision will be removed.

KEY POINT: Just because you have the option to edit an article, doesn’t mean you should. If you want to tweak the message because you learned something new, don’t edit an already existing article; WRITE another one. Allow your articles to keep working for you. Remember, the more high-quality live articles you have, the more traffic, exposure and credibility you’ll receive – so only edit the articles that REALLY need it. Your time can now be better spent writing great articles and not agonizing over making each one perfect.

Now get back to writing more articles, and reserve this new feature only for necessary edits.

Leave a comment to share your thoughts on this new procedure:

Ezine Articles – How-To Article Template

Staci wants to share, what EzineArticles has done!

EzineArticles has done it again – There newest newsletter featured the following message and a

How-To Article Template

EzineArticles.com Logo
Use this simple, yet powerful and flexible template to create your next set of high-quality articles.

Writing a how-to article seems like an easy task, but forget one step and your “Simple Guide to Installing a Toilet” could end up as a simple guide to disaster! Spend a little time analyzing your subject matter, however, and the outcome will be valuable content your readers will love.

A Step-by-Step Guide to Writing a Great How-To Article:

  1. Pick a Topic in Your Niche – Think about things that you have done that require a specific set of steps, like how to install a toilet, build a bookshelf or make a 3-bean salad.
  2. Lead with a Great Title – What is the top benefit of your informative article? Use that as your title. Try this template: “How to [get/save/become] and [insert big reward here].” In his book, Advertising Headlines That Make You Rich, copywriter David Garfinkel gives these examples:
    • How to Save Time and Get Things Done (Time Management Coach)
    • How to Get a Better Job and Make More Money (Recruiter)
    • How to Save Money and Retire Rich (Financial Planner)

You don’t have to use the words “How To.” You could just say “Install a Toilet Yourself and Save a Pile of Money” – or whatever.

  3. Begin with a Simple Introduction – Maybe relating a personal experience as to how you came to know about the topic the hard way – or, conversely, how simple it was to learn.
  4. Include a List of Supplies, Tools and/or Resources – If your reader is going to need something besides their wits to accomplish the task, tell them upfront so they can prepare everything in advance.
  5. Write Instructions in Chronological Order – Don’t make your instructions convoluted or confusing – keep it short and simple (KISS) and don’t include more than one thought per step.
  6. Create Mental Images – Since your article can’t include photos or illustrations, use words to paint a picture instead. Clearly describe what your reader will experience to avoid confusion … and a loss of credibility for you!
  7. Conclude with Cautions, Tips and Advice – This is a great place to add some goodwill and wrap things up on a positive note. It’s also a wonderful way to lead readers into your Resource Box.

Using this incredibly flexible and powerful template, you’ll be able to create article after article that will not only benefit your readers, but you as well with increased traffic, credibility and exposure.

Now put this free template to good use writing your next set of high-quality, original How-To articles. Then stop over at our Blog with a link to your article so that everyone can take a look:
