I had the pleasure of discussing security issues with Regina Smola. Luckily I have not had the issues that some others have with their sites being hacked into, etc.
I thought it was funny back in October when I was listening to a webinar that Regina was a part of through Business and Learning – but now that I am more aware and when I go to visit a website and see that it has been hacked – I just feel bad for the owner of the site.
Now they have to go through and tackle their website and try to keep the hackers out.
I took the opportunity of signing up for Regina’s freebie report that provided me with a few tips of what I can start doing to my wordpress website. After I conquered those few steps/tips – I was ready for more. I want to try and keep the hackers out so that way it is one less thing I will have to worry about when I wake up in the morning and see that I can’t access my websites and either can the world.
So next I bought Regina’s 15 ways report. [You can find both reports at AskReginaSmola.com] I started to follow the 15 ways to help secure my wordpress and as I was going through the steps I started to become unsure of myself. The steps that were listed was describing what to do but after a few email exchanges with Regina – I found out that my website needed a few extra steps before I can do what she was suggesting.
I then just asked Regina – can you do this for me? There comes a point in time that I just have to say HELP! I was doing good but now that I was trying to change a few things on the back end I was afraid that I would mess up my website or do something that could not be unchanged.
Received an email and a phone call from Regina – YES! She could help me. Whew. Gave her my information over the phone and then she was a busy little bee for the next 48 hours. Not only did she get my website up and running with a few changes to add more security – she left the new and old in place and monitored my website before completely the switch over.
Regina gave me full customer service by providing me with helpful tips and pointers while she was adding the 15 ways that I could add MORE security to my WordPress website. Now I feel that I am unstoppable – and of course, any website can be hacked – and now I feel … it just depends how difficult you make it for them.
Thanks to Regina and WPSecurityLock: Check out my testimonial!
