Create an Article Management Database

GoogleDocs Spreadsheet

GoogleDocs Spreadsheet

Keeping track of where your articles are listed and where they have been submitted is very helpful for your article marketing strategies to help you determine what is working and what is worth the time spent.

For an Article Management Database, I would suggest creating a spreadsheet that consists of:

  • Article Title
  • Name of Directory
  • Submission Date
  • Notes

Now that you are ready to submit your first article you should keep track of who you submit your article to and when you did it.

Here is an example that you can download and use.  Article Management Database

Do you have anything that you would want to include? Please post your comments. Thank you.

Create an Article Submission Website’s Database

Search "Article Directory" with Google.com

Search "Article Directory" with Google.com

Once you have your article submitted to a directory you will be submitting to this directory, I would recommend creating a spreadsheet that consists of:

  • Directory URL address
  • Name of directory
  • Your email address
  • Your username
  • Your password

When registering with a directory I would suggest trying to use the same email address, username and password. This will make it easier for you to go directly to the site and sign in when you need to. But of course you will always have the spreadsheet for reference.

Using an Directory Program or Manual Submission?

Submitting your website to directories is very easy.

The sites usually ask for the following:

  • Website Name
  • Website URL
  • Your Name
  • Your Email Address
  • Description of Website

Just like with the article directory program by Bryxen Software, they also have a Directory Submitter available. You can find the link here to download the FREE version. Do want to point out that there is a paid version, located here. I was searching and stumbled upon this – the Gold program offer more options with a fee. I have not purchased the paid version.

Once you click on the link above – you of course are taken to a sales page, in the navigation bar is Directory Submitter and Article Directory Submitter.

After giving this program a try – what do you prefer? Manual or Program based Submission? (It is my affiliate link if you wish to download the free version or purchase one of the upgraded packages.)

Emotional Marketing Value Headline Analyzer

“How to Submit to Article Directory”
Your Headline’s EMV Score:
66.67%

This score indicates that your headline has a total of 66.67% Emotional Marketing Value (EMV) Words. To put that in perspective, the English language contains approximately 20% EMV words.

And for comparison, most professional copywriters’ headlines will have 30%-40% EMV Words in their headlines, while the most gifted copywriters will have 50%-75% EMV words in headlines.

A perfect score would be 100%, but that is rare unless your headline is less than five words.

While the overall EMV score for your headline is 66.67%, your headline also has the following predominant emotion classification:

Spiritual
Your headline carries words that have a predominantly Spiritual appeal. Words that resonate with Spiritual impact are the smallest number of words in the language. AMI research has found that Spiritual impact words carry the strongest potential for influence and often appeal to people at a very deep emotional level.

Words with Spiritual impact are best used with people and businesses desiring to make an appeal to some aspect of spirituality. This does not mean religion specifically, but any product or service that resonates with “spirituality” oriented markets are appropriate. The clergy, new age, health food and related markets all respond favorably to sales copy heavy with Spiritual impact content. Women and children also respond strongly to words in the Spiritual sphere. Marketing documents with strong Spiritual impact content can make for the most powerful presentations in the marketplace but must be used with considerable skill.

How to Submit to Article Directory?

ezinearticles

Article Submission for EzineArticles.com

Submitting your articles to a directory can help increase your exposure as a writer or for your business and depending on the content you are writing about – this could reference you as a expert on the topic.

Before submitting your article you may want to check your headline against this resource – Emotional Marketing Value Headline Analyzer (Non-affiliate link). I even took the headline that I am using for this blog post and put it in to see what my results would be, you can check that out here.

Another task that you must have readily available is your resource box which will be listed with your article and will be used when someone selects your article to use on for their selected project or on their website.

After you verified your headline, body of article and resource box – now you are ready to submit your article to the article directories.

Some additional information some sites recommend is an article summary and chosen keywords.

Now you are ready to submit to the article directory.

When visiting each directory for the first time. I highly recommend for you to read through their submission guidelines so your article has a higher chance of being accepted.

I have now realized after submitting to several directories with several different articles that it is best to put the article into one directory and then enter the same article with copy and paste into the various other directories from there.

Once article submission is finished – now you just have to wait for the article directory site to review your submission for approval or denial.

Have a great day!
